QUALITY LABORATORY AND TEST FACILITIES

Input quality control of the original and recycle raw materials and process quality control of the semi-finished and finished products are performed on a regular basis.
Thus, every stage of production is kept under control.
Following tests and measurements are carried out in accordance with international standards with testing and measurement equipment in our Quality Control Laboratory.

  • DENSITY

    The density measurements of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products are carried out according to ASTM D 792 test standards. The density of a solid sample without any hole inside is determined by weighing it in dry air first and then measuring the liquid displaced when placed in alcohol with specific density.

  • MELT FLOW INDEX (MFI)

    Melt Flow Index (MFI) of orijinal and recycle plastic raw material is measured in g/10 min. using Melt Flow Index device in accordance with ISO 1133 standards under specific temperatures and pressure conditions. For this test the melted plastic material is forced through a capillary tube with applied load to detect how much material flows in 10 minutes. Viscosity is one of the most important parameters for material processing and molding.

  • ISOD IMPACT STRENGTH

    Izod impact test is done to measure the amount of energy that is absorbed by the material and the results used for evaluation of crispiness of the material. Notched and unnotched test samples produced with related original or recycle raw material and Izod Impact Strength test is performed in terms of kj/m2 according to ISO 180/A. The fracture resistance of the material should be measured by Izod Impact Strength test for high impact strength material selection.

  • CHARPY IMPACT STRENGTH

    Charpy impact test is done to measure the amount of energy that is absorbed by the material and the results used for evaluation of crispiness of the material. Notched and unnotched test samples produced with related original or recycle raw material and Izod Impact Strength test is performed in terms of kj/m2 according to ISO 179. The fracture resistance of the material should be measured by Izod Impact Strength test for high impact strength material selection.

  • FILLER RATIO

    Filler ratio of the orijinal and recycle raw materials are measured by oven equipment and measurements performed in terms of percent according to ISO-3451-1 standard.

  • HARDNESS

    Shore D hardness of the raw materials, are carried out according to ISO 868 standard. Hardness is indicates of deformation resistance of the plastic.

  • STRESS TEST

    As a result of injection production process parameters and raw materials are used to determine the stress caused by internal stress in products. The products are min -40ºC and max. In cabs adjustable up to + 200ºC, they are subjected to stress tests for a certain period of time.

  • FILLING DETERMINATION

    The amount of filler material of the original and recycled raw materials is determined by the Ash Furnace equipment and equipments as% according to ALKT-509 standard. The filling ratio of the material affects all properties, especially the mechanical properties.

  • MOISTURE

    Moisture content of the raw material granules are carried out by Aquatrac method and determined in percent.

  • Differential Scale Calorimetry (DSC)

    Determines the energy change in accordance with temperature.

  • Thermogravimectric Analysis (TGA)

    Thermogravimetric analysis uses heat to force reactions and physical changes in materials.

  • Universal Test System

    The mechanical properties of raw material used is determined with the aid of tensile, pressure, bending, peeling, tearing and basic cycle tests carried out according to ISO 527 standards.

  • DIMENSIONAL MEASUREMENTS

    Size measurements of semi-finished and finished products are made in comparison with technical pictures.

  • COLOR DETECTION

    Colour control is carried out using spectrophotometer with reference to RAL and Pantone catalogues.

  • RESISTANCE TEST

    Resistance tests of the products are carried out according to “Beno Plastik Quality Instruction”. Impact resistance tests are carried out by drop test and handgrip resistance tests are carried out. Also racking test of pallets are carried out according to BS EN ISO 8611-1:2011 standarts.

  • Electro Static (ESD) Discharge

    ESD measurements of the products which produced for electronic industry are carried out by Megaohmmeter according to EN 50081-1 and EN 50082-1. The boxes which produced with ESD raw materials protect the product inside and prevent damage during manfacturing, transporting and storage.

  • Product Performance Measure

    The pallets are subject to rack, static and dynamic tests in accordance with ISO 8611-1:2011 standards.

  • Vertical Combustion Cabinet

    The combustion rate of raw material is determined in V0, V1, V2 scales in compliance with UL94 standards.

  • Stress Cracking Test

    Stress tests are carried out with the aim to detect the internal stress of the product as a result of the injection process paramaters and raw materials. The products are subject to temperature range of - 40°C and +200°C

  • Stacking Test

    Possible product deformations are predetermined, by simulating real use conditions.
